From our factory in Presteigne, we specialise in the production of high-quality blow moulded components. We are willing to create and produce items in small quantities (100 to 150,000). We can help with product development and tooling, as well as any assembly and testing needs. Our knowledge and technological capabilities make us the ‘first choice’ for many industries, including automobile manufacturers of bespoke equipment and vehicles; as well as construction, leisure and much more.
WHAT IS BLOW MOULDING ?
BLOW MOULDING IS USED TO PRODUCE HOLLOW PLASTIC ITEMS LIKE BOTTLES, CONTAINERS AND OTHER EVERYDAY LIFE PRODUCTS. PLASTIC IS HEATED UP AND A TUBE-LIKE SHAPE IS CREATED. THE MOULD CLOSES AROUND THIS, HOT AIR IS BLOWN IN, CAUSING IT TO EXPAND INTO THE MOULD. ONCE THE PLASTIC HAS COOLED AND HARDENED THE MOULD OPENS, RELEASING A FULLY FORMED PART. ANY EXCESS IS TRIMMED OFF AND RECYCLED.
